What is the UCAIR Air Ambassadors Program?
Are you a Utah high school student passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to learn more about air quality and sustainability while exploring careers and gaining valuable experience?
The UCAIR Air Ambassadors Program is an exciting new program designed to empower young leaders through:

- No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and an interest in making a difference!

- Complete interactive online learning modules on different topics at your own pace.

- Earn points for each activity you complete and work your way up to different point levels

How to Apply
- Step 1: Apply Online
- Click the link below to access the Google Form application form and fill it out with your contact details and why you’re interested.
- Step 2: Application Review
- Give us 5-7 business days to review your application.
- Step 3: Get Program Access
- Once accepted, you’ll receive an email with details on how to access Canvas, our online learning platform.
- Step 4: Start Exploring the Learning Modules!
- Follow the instructions to set up your Canvas account and join the Air Ambassadors course.
- Begin with the “Welcome to the Program!” module.
- Join one of the scheduled onboarding Zoom sessions to ask questions and connect with fellow participants.
The program is flexible and designed to fit into busy schedules! You can complete the modules at your own pace. We recommend dedicating a few hours per month to stay engaged and maximize your rewards.
You can earn points by participating in program activities, such as completing online learning modules, attending live webinars and field trips, and taking part in community projects. Once you reach certain point thresholds, you can redeem points for prizes like gift cards, swag, and experience tickets.
We encourage you to complete as many modules as possible, however, only the introductory modules are required to become an Air Ambassador and begin earning points. You can pick and choose additional modules based on the topics and activities that interest you the most.
The main elements of the program are offered online through the Canvas learning platform. A calendar of optional in-person activities and experiences will also be available, earning you more points and helping you engage with the program more.
You can share program details with students through flyers and announcements, class discussions, school newsletters or bulletin boards, and club meetings. We can provide ready-to-use promotional materials to help spread the word!
Yes! The program is a great fit for environmental or science clubs, National Honor Society, student leadership groups, or class projects.
Yes! We offer stipends for teachers who:
- Sponsor an Air Ambassadors chapter at their school
- Incorporate this program into an existing environmental club
- Help students stay engaged in the program
- Support a student-led project

We offer informational Zoom sessions, classroom presentations, digital resources and lesson integration ideas, and ongoing support for teachers.
No, this program is completely free for all high school students in Utah.
By joining UCAIR Air Ambassadors, students will:
